Until we meet again.

Melbourne, Australia.

“The time has come,” the Walrus said,
“To talk of many things:
Of shoes–and ships–and sealing-wax–
Of cabbages–and kings–
And why the sea is boiling hot–
And whether pigs have wings.”

“But wait a bit,” the Oysters cried,
“Before we have our chat;
For some of us are out of breath,
And all of us are fat!”
“No hurry!” said the Carpenter.
They thanked him much for that.

I never in a million years would have thought that I would be the editor and writer of my own personal blog. I’m quite active online, but am what most online guru’s would consider a “lurker” which, for those of you not familiar with the term, Urban Dictionary describes rather poignantly as ‘someone who seems to always be present but unnoticed’. Not having one literary bone in my body, my apprehension towards starting my own blog is purely because I know people who write funny, charismatic and engaging posts and I feel that my incessant and probably incoherent drivel would seem laughable (and not in the amusing sense) and inane in comparison.

Not wanting to be one of those Facebook newsfeed spammers, I have decided to swallow my pride put my fingers to the keyboard and keep an online journal of sorts for posterity and by posterity I mean future Nicky, friends, family and Grandma Pam (aka Grandma Mamouney). One of my biggest regrets from all the travelling and exchanges I’ve done in the past is not being consistent in recording my journey – I commit to change!

So, upon the advice of a dear friend and ex-client, Camilla Wallace, editor in chief of one of the hands down funniest blogs ever to grace the interwebs (http://teapartyanimal.com.au/), here I am alive through word and press on WordPress.

Nicky Mamouney, the blogger, cat lover, chocolate devourer and lover of all things with whiskers about to leave her family, friends and felines behind to garner worldly experience before growing up, tying the knot, getting a mortgage and popping out a few.

Welcome to my journey.

Nm.
